›Is this a vehicle history report?
No. A VIN decode tells you what a vehicle is — its factory specifications and open safety recalls. It cannot tell you about accidents, title status, or odometer readings. For that you need a paid history report from a licensed provider.
›Does it work for any country?
Full specifications are available for vehicles built for the U.S. and Canadian markets. For other vehicles, we can usually still identify the manufacturer and country of origin from the VIN's WMI prefix.
›Why does my recall list differ between countries?
Manufacturers file recalls separately with Transport Canada and NHTSA. Campaigns, timing, and affected ranges can differ — that's exactly why we show both.
›Is my exact vehicle affected by a listed recall?
Recalls are matched by make, model, and model year, but many recalls only affect specific VIN ranges. Confirm with your manufacturer or dealer using your full VIN.
